Tri-City Medical Center’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), the most advanced in Coastal North County, recently hosted a reunion of former patients, their families, and the doctors and nurses that cared for them. Tri-City Medical Center’s NICU is lead by Dr. Hamid Movahhedian, who did double duty as both NICU Medical Director and Master of Ceremonies for the event.

The event welcomed 700 families and featured food, crafts, activities, and music, as well as an emotional slideshow that showed "first" and current photos of over 20 years on NICU graduates. Suellyn Ellerbe, Chief Operating Officer/Chief Nurse Executive, addressed the crowd and, along with the families, honored the NICU medical staff for their dedication and spectacular work over the past two decades.
