Mercury Insurance Open Presented by Tri-City Medical Center

We are pleased to once again be the presenting sponsor of the Mercury Insurance Open, a Women's Tennis Association (WTA) event.

The event will be held at La Costa Spa and Resort in Carlsbad and will feature a 56-player singles draw and a 16-team doubles draw.

Tri-City's role goes beyond financial sponsorship, as we are prominently involved in the vendor expo. Our healthcare professionals will give advice on aching joints and sun-damaged skin and tips for keeping body composition and blood pressure in check. Hospital staff and doctors will be joined by employees from the Tri-City Wellness Center to make sure everyone knows about keeping fit at our award-winning health club.

Celebration Benefits Tri-City Patients

Our participation doesn't stop at the edge of the tennis court. A cocktail reception benefitting women's health and advanced technology will be held in conjunction with the Open. The reception will be held on Thursday, August 4 at 5:00 pm.

Celebrity guests and players will attend and there will be silent and live auctions. Guests will also receive admission to the evening matches following the reception. Tennis Legend Pam Shriver will host the evening and serve as auctioneer.

Proceeds from the benefit will purchase the dual console da Vinci^®  si HD Robotic Surgical System - the most advanced robotic platform in North San Diego County.
