Understanding Your Bill
Your hospital bill includes charges for the cost of your room, medications, medical and surgical supplies, lab x-ray, procedures and other hospital services. An itemization of your bill is available upon request.
Fees for all physicians whose services were required for care are billed separately by the physician and are not part of your hospital bill. Questions about these fees should be directed to the physician, not the hospital. All physicians are independent contractors and may not have agreements with the same insurance plans as the hospital.

Your hospital account must be settled by insurance or direct payments by you. If you have insurance, the hospital will verify health insurance addresses inside the United States. If your insurance company does not pay the insurance claim in a timely manner you may be asked for help in getting the claim paid.
The business office will verify your insurance benefits and create an estimate that states your financial responsibility, Either prior to your arrival or while you are here at TCMC, an insurance specialist will come to your room to discuss and collect your estimated portion of the bill. By collecting your estimated balance while you are here in the facility, we are able to keep healthcare costs lower.
