OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

Priya Joshi, OTR/L, CHT: Priya received her Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Bombay University in India in 1989 and her Masters degree in Rehab Counseling from Michigan State University in 2001. She has over 17 years of experience in the area of rehabilitation and has practiced as a hand therapist for about 11 of those years. She received advanced certification in the area of hand therapy (CHT) in 1997. She has also received certification in the Workhabs Functional Capacity Evaluation method. She is a member of the American Society of Hand Therapists, as well as the San Diego Hand Special Interest Group. Priya has been with Tri-City Medical Center as a Clinical Specialist in Hand Therapy and Coordinator of Return-to-Work Services since 2001. Her specialty is in the area of treating hands and upper extremity trauma and in the area of ergonomics. She serves as a consultant within Tri-City Medical Center and in the community in developing onsite injury management programs, ergonomics education for injury prevention, and promoting safety in the workplace.

Katie Klarer, OTR/L HTC PAM: After graduating from the University of Southern California, Katie has worked in a wide range of healthcare settings including acute care, rehabilitation, private practice, sports medicine clinics and skilled nursing facilities. She is developing www.therasite.com, a website which provides news, information and a discussion forum to area therapists. Catherine maintains her professional standing with the American Occupational Therapy Association, the Occupational Therapy Association of California, and is a member of the San Diego Hand Special Interest Group. Her technical and personal skills have made her a valued and respected member of the Tri-City Medical Center team since 2005.

Ronnie Savage, OTR/L, HTC, PAM: Originally from Florida, Ronny joined TCMC in 2000. She earned her Master of Science degree in occupational therapy from D'Youville College in Buffalo, NY. Her professional specialty is hand therapy. She is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Society of Hand Therapists and the American Occupational Therapy Association of California, and the San Diego Hand Special Interest Group.
