OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

Nancy Fieldman, OTR/L: Nancy received her Bachelor's degree in Social Work from Juniata College in 1984, and a Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy from Colorado State in 1995. She has worked as an Occupational Therapist in adult rehabilitation specializing in neurological disorders since 1996 and has been a senior therapist at Tri-City Medical Center since 1998. She has extensive training in the Neurodevelopmental Treatment (NDT) approach and has advanced training in the use of Saebo-flex, used for neuro-rehabilitation of the upper extremity. Nancy has experience in vision rehabilitation and is able to use physical agent modalities.

Matt Ford, OTR/L: Matt received his BS degree in Occupational Therapy from San Jose State University in 1995. He has worked as an occupational therapist at Tri-City Medical Center since 1997. He has training in Neurodevelopmental treatment (NDT) for neurological disorders. Matt also has experience working with vision rehabilitation.

Farrell Sheffield, OTR/L,CDRS: Farrell received her Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy from the University of Southern California in 1976. She has been an occupational therapist for over 28 years, working with adults and children with physical disabilities. Farrell is a member of the Neuro-Optometric Association, the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA), a member of the San Diego Hand Special Interest Group, and is the AOTA Driver Network manager. She founded Tri-City Medical Centers Good to Go Driver Rehab program and is a certified driver rehab specialist. Farrell has also helped to coordinate TCMCs vision rehab program. She has been with us since 1993.

PHYSICAL THERAPY

Erik Nichols, MPT: Erik received his Bachelors and Masters degrees from Loma Linda University. He has over 8 years of experience with neurological and geriatric patients with multiple diagnoses and disabilities. He has advanced training in neurodynamic treatment (NDT), pathological gait analysis, fall prevention, urinary incontinence, P.T. practice development, and management and orthopedic management for the hip and shoulder. He joined Tri-City Medical Center in 2005.

Tina Recalde, DPT, ATC, CSCS: Tina's education includes a B.S. in Physiology and Neuroscience from the University of California at San Diego, a M.S. in Exercise Science and Health Promotion from Middle Tennessee State University, and a doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Southern California. She has worked as a Certified Athletic Trainer for over 12 years with high school, college, and professional athletes. She specializes in movement analysis, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), and manual therapy in the evaluation and treatment of orthopedic injuries. Tina currently treats outpatients with neurological and vestibular impairments. She has been with TCMC since 2007.

Tracy Park, MPT: Tracys education includes a B.S. in kinesiology from Cal State Fullerton with a major in geriatrics, and a Masters degree in physical therapy from Chapman University with a minor in gait training. Her continuing education includes proprioceptive neuromuscular feedback (PNF) and neurodynamic treatment (NDT) techniques. Tracy currently treats outpatients with neurological impairments and patients with various inpatient needs. She has been with Tri-City since 2003.

SPEECH THERAPY

Jennifer Jones, MA CCC-SLP: Jennifer received her Bachelors degree from Brigham Young University and her Masters degree from San Diego State University. She has experience with the adult and pediatric populations in both inpatient and outpatient settings, specializing in speech, language and swallowing disorders. Jennifer has been with TCMC since 2004.

Shawn Marinkovich, MS,CCC,SLP: Shawn received her Bachelor's degree from the University of Redlands, and her Master's degree from the University of Washington. She has 18 years of experience working with adults and children exhibiting a variety of speech, language, and cognitive deficits at all levels of the continuum of care, including acute, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, transitional care, home and community, day treatment, and direct assistance with return to work or school. She also has advanced training in swallowing, motor-speech, and voice disorders. Shawn has been at Tri-City Medical Center since 2000.

Linda Schott, M.S. CCC-SLP: Linda received a bachelors degree in Linguistics from State University of New York at Oswego, and a Masters degree in Communication Disorders from University of Texas at Dallas. She has nearly 10 years of experience and works with people of all ages from preschoolers through geriatrics. She has worked as a speech pathologist in hospital, school, nursing home and private practice settings. She has a special interest in working with patients with voice disorders and expressive/receptive language impairments. Linda has been with Tri-City since 2000.

Leslie Stern, M.A. CCC-SLP: Leslie received her Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in Communicative Disorders from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California. She has more than 23 years of experience and works with adults experiencing various disorders of swallowing, voice, cognition, speech and language. Leslie has worked as a speech-language pathologist in hospital, home care, nursing home, and private practice settings. She has been with Tri-City Medical Center since 1986 and has been the supervisor of the Speech Pathology and Audiology department since 1990.
