THERAPEUTIC RECREATION promotes quality of life, wellness and leisure skills through education and adaptation after disability. Programs can be on an individual or group basis in the community and clinical settings. Pet Therapy is a special program that facilitates physical recovery and psychological well-being. Handlers and dogs under the Tender Loving Canines program visit select patents for therapeutic intervention and support. Only hospital-approved dogs are allowed in the program.
