Trancutaneous Oxygen Measurement, or TCOM, is a non-invasive measurement reflecting the amount of Oxygen diffused from the capillaries, through the epidermis, to an electrode at the measuring site. TCOM provides instant, continuous information about the body's ability to deliver oxygen to the tissue. Any impairment of the organism's ability to deliver oxygen to the tissue will be revealed immediately. This helps physicians in advanced vascular assessments, assessment of the non-healing wound and diabetic foot ulcer, amputation level indicator for healing, hyperbaric qualification and evaluation of revascularization.
