Spirit of hope and healing - always “in style!”
Tri-City Hospital Foundation Board is pleased to announce the 2nd Annual Fashion that Heals raised over $136,000 at the Hilton Carlsbad Oceanfront Resort & Spa on Saturday, May 4, 2013. It was a TCMC family affair with nearly 50 employees, physicians and nurses who participated as models. The event was sold out at 260 guests. The Foundation Board of Trustees, staff, and volunteers are grateful to generous sponsors and guests who supported the event by purchasing tickets, sponsoring the event or donating and purchasing auction items.
The proceeds of the event will be used to purchase the latest mammography equipment for Tri-City Medical Center. The Foundation Board announced during the show it will fund the remainder of the cost to purchase the new equipment with proceeds from the 2012 Diamond Ball.
This year’s champagne luncheon guests admired the fashions by popular local designers as Chico’s, Coldwater Creek, J. Jill, JoS. A. Bank, lululemon athletica, Ooh La La, Talbots and TRE Women’s Clothing. The models were coiffed and primped by local businesses who donated their stylistic talents: Split Endz Hair Salon and Bellus Academy.
Heartfelt appreciation goes to Tri-City Medical Center’s physicians, nurses and administrative staff who contributed so generously to the show’s success as they professionally strutted the catwalk as this year’s fashion models; with special acknowledgement to our four cancer survivor models that rocked the house along with Carlsbad Firefighters and the fabulous emcee, Dan Cohen, Channel 8 News Anchor.
This event was highly successful and the Foundation thanks everyone for taking part in it; and hopes you will join us next year!
