The Foundation Staff
Tobi Ferguson, Chief Development Officer, brings over 25 years of healthcare, marketing, communications, strategic planning and non-profit management experience to the Foundation. She had the great fortune to have begun her career with three of the largest, most prestigious organizations in the Fortune 500; SmithKline Beecham, Johnson & Johnson and the Xerox Corporation. In addition, she brings broad experience in the non-profit community, assuming a number of leadership positions including; CEO of Healthcare Foundation Northern Sonoma County, CEO of American Red Cross Pasadena, VP of Marketing/ Communications for Health Plan of the Redwoods, Chairman of the Board for Sonoma County Chapter of the American Red Cross, Founder of the Johnson & Johnson “Fund for Kids”, Steering Committee for the Sonoma Health Alliance, Development Committee for Make-A-Wish Foundation, Steering Committee for Leadership Santa Rosa - and many more.
She was awarded an MBA from Pepperdine University in Malibu with an emphasis in Marketing/Management. She received her BS degrees from CSU Long Beach in Microbiology/Business Administration.
Kathy Francisco, Financial & Research Analyst, is responsible for the Donor/Prospect Tracking and Management Process and Research Program. She also administers and oversees the donations and foundation funds, managing the Foundation accounting system. She has been with the Foundation since 1996, bringing with her many years of computer and management experience.
Selina Castillo Hudgins, Manager of Development, is an experienced development professional. Over the years Selina has coordinated and executed strategies to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward philanthropic gifts. Her responsibilities for the Foundation include management of Annual Giving and the Donor Relations programs. She works closely with the Chief Development Officer and Major Gift Program. She received her BA degree from Wayne State University (Detroit, MI) in Public Relations.
Jessica Fuentes Wood, Administrative Assistant, joins the Foundation with a passion for doing meaningful work and being a part of something that is changing lives daily. She has diverse experience in non-profit organizations as well as office management. She has been a resident of North County for over 26 years, and gave birth to her daughter Taylor, 8 years ago at Tri-City Medical Center. She enjoys time with her family, friends and two dogs in Carlsbad, where she currently resides.
