Tri-City’s Corporate Council Gives $75,000 in 2011 to Hospital Foundation
Funds benefit maternity, neonatal and robotic surgery programs and bring the Corporate Council’s financial support to nearly $500,000 since 2006
OCEANSIDE, Calif. —The 18 companies represented on Tri-City Hospital Foundation’s Corporate Council gave $75,000 to support Tri-City Medical Center In 2011. The funds helped purchase biliblankets to treat newborns with jaundice, fetal monitors and the da Vinci Si HD robotic surgical system that performs minimally invasive surgeries.
“We are grateful for the generous support of our Corporate Council member companies,” said Tobi Ferguson, President and Chief Development Officer at Tri-City Hospital Foundation. “But just as valuable as their philanthropic support is the link they create between the area’s business community and the hospital’s vital services to all who live and work here.”
Corporate Council has donated nearly $500,000 in funds to support an array of health services and technologies for Tri-City Medical Center since its formation in 2006. The council’s efforts have helped provide warm blankets for patients in the Emergency Department, equipment for the Wellness Center, educational outreach to promote health and wellness in the community, bar-code technology to ensure medication is accurately dispensed, and much more.
“Our role is to mobilize the resources of the business community to assure excellence in healthcare at Tri-City Medical Center for the people who live and work in our communities,” said Joseph Mason, Chair of Corporate Council and Vice President Strategic Accounts for Cardinal Health, Inc. “We encourage all North County businesses to join in giving back to our community hospital.”
