Over $560,000 raised at Tri-City Hospital Foundation's Golden Anniversary Ball
Fund will support $1.5 million da Vinci Capital Campaign
OCEANSIDE, Calif. — Tri‐City Hospital Foundation raised over $560,000 at its annual gala on Saturday, Nov. 5 at the Park Hyatt Aviara in Carlsbad. The funds raised will go toward the $1.5 million capital campaign to pay for the purchase of the state‐of‐the‐art da Vinci® Si HD Robotic Surgical System.
Through the years, the annual gala has helped fund some of the hospital’s most crucial projects. The $560,000 raised at this year’s event is the largest amount ever at the gala and surpassed last year’s achievement of over $365,000. While thanking guests for their generosity, Tri‐City Medical Center CEO Larry Anderson touched on the medical center’s 50 year goals and presented the conceptual rendering of the new hospital building.
“Our vision for Tri‐City Medical Center is that it grows with our communities, keeps pace with innovations in medicine and continues to be an innovator in patient care,” said Anderson. “We know that along with our growth comes a happier, healthier community.”
This year's themed Golden Anniversary Ball signified Tri-City Medical Center's 50 years of quality health care.
“The Golden Anniversary Ball was particularly special as we celebrated Tri‐City Medical Center’s 50 year journey from community hospital to regional healthcare leader,” said Tobi Ferguson, the Foundation’s President/CDO. “We’re looking forward to the next 50 years of advancing medicine and compassion. While we celebrate this achievement and express so much gratitude to those who helped make it happen, the da Vinci campaign continues and there are many other opportunities for Tri‐City to make a difference in our region.”
George Chamberlin, host of NBC’s Money Matters, emceed the evening’s festivities with entertainment provided by NRG. The evening’s Legacy Award was presented to Congressman Darrell Issa in recognition of his long public service to the communities served by Tri‐City Medical Center.
