Health Net Recognizes Tri-City Medical Center for Excellence in Data Reporting and Quality Care

OCEANSIDE, Calif. – Managed care company Health Net has named Tri-City Medical Center an ‘honor roll hospital’ for its excellence in quality and safety data reporting.

Tri-City Medical Center was awarded the ‘honor roll’ designation based on its 2013 participation in the Leapfrog Group Hospital Quality Safety Survey. The Leapfrog Group, an employer-driven hospital quality watchdog, recently awarded Tri-City an ‘A’ in patient safety. Consumers can access scores at http://www.hospitalsafetyscore.org.

“This honor roll recognition reflects our commitment to ensuring the best possible patient outcomes and the dedication and focus of each of our physicians, staff and volunteers,” said Tim Moran, CEO of Tri-City Medical Center.

Health Net’s recognition program encourages hospitals to participate in data reporting and improve quality of care. Health Net lists ‘honor roll’ recipients at the top of their Hospital Comparison Report. Powered by WebMD, the report is an electronic decision-support tool that provides an independent analysis of area hospitals, including their clinical outcomes, patient volume and charges for a particular procedure or medical condition.
