Jason M. Phillips, MD

Dr. Jason M. Phillips is a Board Certified Urologist specializing in men and woman’s urologic health and trained in minimally invasive technologies including ureteroscopy, Urolift, da Vinci robotic surgical system, Greenlight laser, TURP and robotic simple prostatectomy. Dr. Phillips has a special interest in treating benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), urologic cancers, kidney stones, overactive bladder, incontinence, bladder prolapse, erectile dysfunction and symptoms related to an enlarged prostate. As a physician with an MBA, Dr. Phillips is an advocate of collaborative decision-making and utilizing a team-based approach to optimize patient outcomes.

Dr. Phillips achieved the first designation as a Center of Excellence for UroLift in San Diego treating patients in the office and operating room under anesthesia.

Dr. Phillips is Chief of Urology at Tri-City Medical Center and sits on multiple committees including the Operating Room Committee, Quality Assessment/Performance Improvement Committee and serves as Co-Chair of the Robotics Committee. Dr. Phillip's main practice is at Urology San Diego located in Oceanside and he is a staff physician and surgeon at Scripps Memorial Hospital in Encinitas and Palomar Medical Center in Escondido.

Dr. Phillip's education includes graduating from the University of California, Berkley and earning MD and MBA degrees from the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Phillips underwent general surgery and urological surgery training at the University of Colorado in Denver. Dr. Phillips is a Diplomat for the American Board of Urology and is an active member in the American Urological Association, Western Section AUA, and the San Diego Urological Society. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
