Tri-City Healthcare District’s Board & Leadership Team Statement

Tri-City Healthcare District has been serving the North County region for almost 60 years and remains committed to providing high quality healthcare and community services for every individual we encounter regardless of race, color, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability or socioeconomic status.

Our mission is to advance the health and wellness of the community we serve. In order to achieve our mission, we see, hear and listen to our front line healthcare workers, employees, medical staff and all community stakeholders in order to understand and meet our community’s needs. This mission remains absolutely critical during this truly unprecedented time.

Recent events across our Country, including the tragic death of Mr. George Floyd, are deeply troubling. Tri-City Healthcare District denounces racism and stands unequivocally against discrimination in all forms wherever it may occur. We support the right of all people to peaceably assemble, to demonstrate in support of the rights and equality of all individuals and to memorialize those lost to acts of violence and discrimination.

The Tri-City Family remains dedicated to engaging with historically marginalized and at-risk communities. We support equal access to healthcare and the protection of all people against intolerance. As a public healthcare district, this commitment stretches well beyond words and can be seen through our actions, community leadership and partnership with a wide array of local non-profit agencies in our mutual endeavor to address social determinants of health such as access to healthcare, community and social support, economic security and education, food insecurity, homelessness and housing instability.

As we continue to navigate through these unprecedented times, we believe wholeheartedly in our community’s collaborative spirit and remain steadfast in our commitment to the community we all serve together.
