Inspiring the next generation

Tri-City Medical Center (TCMC) participated in the Boys and Girls Club of Vista (BGCV) Summer “Career Fair” as part of an ongoing partnership through the hospital’s COASTAL Commitment program. COASTAL stand for Community Outreach and Support Through Active Leadership. The program encompasses more than 80 partners in Carlsbad, Vista, Oceanside and the surrounding communities.

Members of the External Affairs team, Jessica Shrader, Cassie Klapp and Kelsey Fetzer attended the career fair and spoke with the children. The TCMC team answered their questions, told the kids about their career journey and how they came to work at TCMC. Senior Director of Business Development at TCMC, Jeremy Raimo serves on the Board at BGCV.

Also highlighted during the event was Tri-City’s SOCAL (Student Opportunities for Career Awareness and Learning) program which aims to connect North County students with businesses and provide insights into career opportunities and educational resources, both within Tri-City Medical Center and beyond. Workforce development and economic security is a priority for TCMC’s COASTAL Commitment outreach initiative as we believe healthy communities lead to healthy lives. Students were excited to hear from many different industry sectors all across San Diego county and TCMC was thrilled to take part in the career journeys of these bright kids!
