District Board Chair Larry Schallock Honored with Leadership in Governance Award from California Hospital Association

Tri-City Healthcare District board chair will receive award at Dec. 11 ceremony in Irvine

OCEANSIDE, Calif. — California Hospital Association board of trustees has selected Tri-City Healthcare District Board Chair Larry Schallock for its prestigious Leadership in Governance Award.

Schallock was selected for the honor based on his 12 years of service on the Tri-City Healthcare District board of directors and for his work chairing the CHA Governance Forum, a body that advises the CHA board of trustees on issues impacting policy formulation, political and legislative activities, and educational programs.

The Governance in Leadership Award recognizes elected or appointed hospital or health system board trustees who demonstrate a commitment to health care policies and issues. The Governance in Leadership Award recognizes those trustees that have met these increasing challenges; shown an outstanding commitment to their community; given exemplary service as an active, informed and dedicated trustee; and exhibited leadership, strategic planning and support to the hospital or system.

The California Hospital Association awards will be presented during the CHA board of trustees luncheon on Dec. 11 at noon at the Irvine Marriott Hotel, 18000 Van Karman Ave., Irvine.

Schallock was elected to the Tri-City Healthcare District board in 2002.
