Tri-City Medical Center’s Orthopedics and Spine Opening in April

Oceanside, CA – Tri-City Medical Center has embarked on a new path to greatly enhance the Orthopedics and Spine services available in North San Diego County.

Tri-City Medical Center has formed the Orthopedics & Spine with 12 specialists joining together with the Medical Center in this landmark collaboration. The Institute is based on the same model as the recently opened Cardiovascular Health Institute featuring patient-centric care coupled with an emphasis on advanced technology.
Physician specialties at the Orthopedics & Spine include orthopedic Surgery, Neurosurgery, and Podiatry. The Institute will enhance the patient experience from the first visit in a physician’s office all the way through to post-discharge and rehabilitation.

Dr. Neville Alleyne, president of the Institute Board of Directors, says modern medicine is dependent on the collaborative, multi-disciplinary model. “This collaborative approach between physicians and the hospital means patients are assured of receiving the highest level of care in an accountable and efficient manner.”

The Orthopedics and Spine is on target to treat its first patients in April. A Nurse Navigator will provide concierge-style service to patients. This Advance Practice Nurse will handle all aspects of the patient experience such as scheduling appointments, coordinating care, arranging for physical therapy and even reminding patients about follow up appointments.

The Institute’s combination of a multi-disciplinary team of the area’s most skilled orthopedic, spine and podiatric doctors and first-class, coordinated care will benefit patients in a variety of ways. “When you come to the Orthopedics and Spine you will be treated by doctors who are true leaders in their specialties, using the newest technology available. And with our Nurse Navigator, you will experience less pain, stay in the hospital a shorter amount of time and recover quickly with our advanced and comprehensive rehabilitation services and state-of-the-art Wellness Center,” said Jeremy Raimo, Institute Administrator . “Our continuum of care is truly seamless which translates to these key benefits to our patients.”
